Short-changed Again

Well he was shopping round
On my side of the town
I could tell he was the no-good rambling kind
But loving in these parts is so hard to find
And I was getting tired of being left behind

But I’ve been short-changed this time
I’m cashing out the drawers, I’m locking up the doors
After all that love I gave

We were rolling right along
My lonely days were gone
Our little seed of love it grew each day

I didn’t think so soon I’d have to pay
